Our Pastors

Pastors Darren and Linda Godfrey are the interim pastors at Flemingdon Park Pentecostal Church.

Our History

In early 1970, a layman, Henry Borodenko, began a Sunday School in the Flemingdon area.
When it increased in attendance to the place where he could no longer properly care for it,
he appealed to the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for help. A team of Bible College
students responded, and classes were conducted in the present church facility.

The Sunday School which was then owned by the Presbyterian Church grew in numbers to
approximately 100 children. They met in a small building which was offered for purchase
to a P.A.O.C. church and became established as a new Pentecostal congregation. Pastor
Rondo Thomas was appointed as pastor and the first services were held on September 7, 1975. The Dedication Service took place after two weeks on September 21, 1975.

So rapid was the growth that a new building was erected in 1980 to house the numbers.
The former building was renovated, and it became an essential part of the whole structure
containing the chapel, lounge and offices. Dedication of the new building complex took
place on November 23, 1980.

Following the period of Pastor Thomas’ ministry, many wonderful pastors served this
assembly through the years testifying of the countless lives transformed by the power of
God. The most recent senior pastor, Pastor Sanj Kumar, served at the assembly for almost 20 years before going home to be with the Lord.

Flemingdon Park Pentecostal Church recently celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary in September 2025, a real milestone. As the congregation “waits for His Son from heaven”
(1 Thess. 1:10), we are standing in expectation of the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit
promised in the last days in Acts chapter two (Acts 2:17).
